eltCpuTasksUtilEnable

Module: ELTEX-MES-CPU-TASKS-UTIL-MIB

OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MES-CPU-TASKS-UTIL-MIB::eltCpuTasksUtilEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.9.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Enables measurement of the device CPU tasks utilization. In order to get real values for eltCpuTasksUtilStatisticsUtilizationDuringLast5Seconds, eltCpuTasksUtilStatisticsUtilizationDuringLastMinute and eltCpuTasksUtilStatisticsUtilizationDuringLast5Minutes, the value of this object must be true.

What is eltCpuTasksUtilEnable?

This object turns on measurement of per-task CPU utilization on the device, and defaults to false to avoid the ongoing overhead of continuous measurement. It must be set to true before the last-5-seconds, last-minute, and last-5-minutes utilization objects in the statistics table will report real measured values instead of the dummy placeholder. For example, an admin sets eltCpuTasksUtilEnable to true before diagnosing a CPU spike, then reads the per-task utilization columns to find the culprit task.
