Module: ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB

OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessVersion

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Description: The version of Spanning Tree Protocol the bridge is currently running. The value 'stpCompatible(0)' indicates the Spanning Tree Protocol specified in IEEE 802.1D and 'rstp(2)' indicates the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol specified in IEEE 802.1w. New value may be defined as future versions of the protocol become available.

What is eltdot1dStpMultiProcessVersion?

This selects which Spanning Tree variant this process runs: classic STP (stpCompatible), RSTP, or MSTP. An admin sets this to rstp or mstp on modern switches to get sub-second failover instead of the ~30-50 second convergence of classic 802.1D STP.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessVersion

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessVersion.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.6.1 i <value>
