Module: ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB

OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessBridgeForwardDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Timeout

Access: read-write

Description: The value that all bridges use for ForwardDelay when this bridge is acting as the root. Note that 802.1D-1990 specifies that the range for this parameter is related to the value of eltdot1dStpMultiProcessBridgeMaxAge. The granularity of this timer is specified by 802.1D-1990 to be 1 second. An agent may return a badValue error if a set is attempted to a value which is not a whole number of seconds.

What is eltdot1dStpMultiProcessBridgeForwardDelay?

This sets, in hundredths of a second (400-3000, i.e. 4-30s), the ForwardDelay this bridge would advertise as root for this STP process, controlling how long ports stay in listening/learning before forwarding. It must be tuned in coordination with the process's MaxAge to avoid loops during convergence.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessBridgeForwardDelay

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-BRIDGE-STP-MULTIPROCESS-MIB::eltdot1dStpMultiProcessBridgeForwardDelay.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.401.0.2.1.1.1.5.1 s <value>
