Description: An estimate of the equivalent loop's physical length in meters, as perceived by the PME after the link is established. An equivalent loop is a hypothetical 26AWG (0.4mm) loop with a perfect square root attenuation characteristic, without any bridged taps. The value of 65535 is returned if the link is Down or Initializing or the PME is unable to estimate the equivalent length.

For a 10BASE-TL PME, if a Clause 45 MDIO Interface to the PME is present, then this object maps to the 10P Electrical Length register.

What is efmCuPmeEquivalentLength?

This read-only value (in meters) estimates the physical loop length of this PME's copper pair, expressed as an equivalent hypothetical 26AWG cable with a perfect square-root attenuation curve and no bridged taps. A value of 65535 means the PME couldn't produce an estimate (e.g., link down); otherwise admins use this to gauge how far a subscriber's line actually runs.
