Description: The number of seconds that a router's Hello packets have not been seen before it's neigh- bors declare the router down. This should be some multiple of the Hello interval. This value must be the same for all routers attached to a common network.

How many seconds without a Hello packet before a neighbor on this interface is declared down, default 40 (typically some multiple of the Hello interval); all routers on the segment must agree on this value. Lowering it detects a failed neighbor faster but increases the risk of false positives on a marginal link.
