Module: DOT3-OAM-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOT3-OAM-MIB::dot3OamPeerMaxOamPduSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.158.1.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The maximum size of OAMPDU supported by the peer as reflected in the latest Information OAMPDU received with a Local Information TLV. Ethernet OAM on this interface must not use OAMPDUs that exceed this size. The maximum OAMPDU size can be determined from the PDU Configuration field of the Local Information TLV of the last Information OAMPDU received from the peer. A value of zero is returned if no Local Information TLV has been received. Otherwise, the value of the OAM peer's maximum OAMPDU size is returned in this value.

What is dot3OamPeerMaxOamPduSize?

This read-only value (0, or 64-1518 octets) is the maximum OAMPDU size the remote peer supports, learned from its last Information OAMPDU, with zero meaning none has been received yet. An admin compares it with the local dot3OamMaxOamPduSize to understand which of the two is limiting the negotiated OAMPDU size on the link.
