Discontinuities of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of the ifCounterDiscontinuityTime.
What is dot3OamOrgSpecificRx?
This read-only counter tallies vendor/organization-specific OAMPDUs received on this interface, i.e. extended OAM messages outside the standard IEEE 802.3ah set. An admin on a multi-vendor link would check this to see whether the peer is sending proprietary OAM extensions the local device may not fully interpret.
