Discontinuities of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of the ifCounterDiscontinuityTime.
What is dot3OamLoopbackControlTx?
This read-only counter tracks Loopback Control OAMPDUs sent on this interface, i.e. the frames used to request or terminate a remote loopback session. An admin would see this increment when they (or automation) issue a dot3OamLoopbackStatus loopback request against the peer.
