Description: A count of the number of Information OAMPDUs transmitted on this interface.
Discontinuities of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of the ifCounterDiscontinuityTime.
What is dot3OamInformationTx?
This read-only counter tallies Information OAMPDUs (the periodic heartbeat frames of Ethernet OAM) transmitted on this interface, and can reset on management re-initialization. An admin expects this to increment steadily whenever OAM is enabled and would investigate a stalled count as a sign OAM has stopped running locally.
