What is dnsServCounterAuthAns?
This object counts the total number of DNS queries that the server answered directly with authoritative data it owns, rather than forwarding them to another server. It measures successful responses where the server was the authoritative source for the requested domain information. DNS administrators track this counter to monitor how much traffic is being handled authoritatively and to detect operational patterns or anomalies in query resolution.
