What is iRProtocol?

This reports which infrared protocol variant is in use on the connection: sIR (Serial IR), fIR (Fast IR), or mIR (Medium IR), plus other/unknown. An admin reads this to explain observed IR throughput differences, since fIR runs substantially faster than sIR.
