Description: A DMI Event associated with a group within a DMI component has occurred.

Normally, DMI Events are translated into event specific SNMP notifications instead of this generic notification.

However, this generic notification is defined for cases when mapping the DMI event to a specific SNMP trap is not possible (e.g., the DMI Class to SNMP OID mapping is not defined).

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
