dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh

Module: DLINKSW-SAFEGUARD-ENGINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-SAFEGUARD-ENGINE-MIB::dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.19.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object is used to configure and show the rising threshold of Safeguard Engine.

What is dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh?

This value sets the CPU utilization percentage at which the Safeguard Engine considers the switch to be entering an exhausted, resource-constrained state and begins throttling suspicious traffic. An admin tunes this threshold based on their switch's normal CPU load pattern, setting it low enough to catch trouble early but high enough to avoid false triggers during normal peak usage. For example, setting this to 60 means the Safeguard Engine begins its protective throttling once CPU utilization climbs past 60%.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.19.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-SAFEGUARD-ENGINE-MIB::dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.19.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-SAFEGUARD-ENGINE-MIB::dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.19.1.1.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dSafeguardEngineRiseThresh.1
