What is dPktMonSessionSessionType?
This enumerated object reports what kind of packet-monitoring session a given entry in the dPktMonSessionTable currently is: inactive, a local SPAN session, an RSPAN source session, or an RSPAN destination session. An admin reads this to understand how traffic mirroring is set up for that session, for example whether mirrored traffic is being copied to a local destination port or tagged into a remote RSPAN VLAN for delivery across the network to another switch. A session showing dPktMonSessionSessionType = remoteSourceSession(2) tells an admin that switch is tagging mirrored packets with an RSPAN VLAN to send them to a remote monitoring switch, rather than mirroring them locally.
