dErrDisRecoveryEnable

Module: DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisRecoveryEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies whether the system can automatically recover a system entity that has been disabled by the cause.

What is dErrDisRecoveryEnable?

This object turns on or off automatic recovery for interfaces that were placed into error-disabled state by the specific cause identified by the table's dErrDisRecoveryIndex. Admins set it to true so that ports disabled by conditions like loopback detection or storm control come back up on their own after a timeout, rather than requiring manual intervention. For example, enabling this for the stormControl cause means a port shut down by a broadcast storm will automatically re-enable itself once the configured recovery interval elapses.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisRecoveryEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisRecoveryEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.1.1.2.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dErrDisRecoveryEnable.1
