dErrDisNotificationEnable
Module: DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB
OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisNotificationEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Bits
Access: read-write
Description: This object indicates whether a specified notification is enabled or not. If a bit corresponding to a notification is set to 1, then the specified notification can be generated.
errDisableAsserted(0) - Controls the notifications for a port/vlan entering into error disabled state.
errDisableCleared(1) - Controls the notifications for a port/vlan exiting from error disabled state.
What is dErrDisNotificationEnable?
This bitmask object controls which SNMP notifications the switch generates for error-disable events: bit errDisableAsserted(0) for a port/VLAN entering error-disabled state, and bit errDisableCleared(1) for one exiting it. Admins set the relevant bits so their monitoring system gets trap alerts both when a port trips into error-disable and when it later clears, instead of having to poll status tables continuously. For example, setting only the errDisableAsserted bit means the switch will trap when a port shuts down due to a loop or storm, but stay silent when that port later recovers.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.4 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisNotificationEnable
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-ERROR-DISABLE-MIB::dErrDisNotificationEnable.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.45.1.4.1 s <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dErrDisNotificationEnable.1
