dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectRateLimit

Module: DLINKSW-DOS-PREVENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-DOS-PREVENT-MIB::dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectRateLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.59.1.3.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the rate-limit (kilobit per second) for redirecting DoS attacking packets. The valid range and granularity is project dependent. A value of 0 indicates that there is no limit for redirecting DoS attacking packets. This object can only be modified for entries whose value of dDoSPrevCtrlEnabled is 'true', dDoSPrevCtrlActionType is 'redirect' and dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectPort is specified. Otherwise, inconsistentValue error will be returned.

What is dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectRateLimit?

This read-write value, in kilobits per second, caps the rate at which redirected DoS attack packets are forwarded, with 0 meaning no rate limit is applied. An admin sets this to prevent a redirect action from itself overwhelming the capture port or downstream analysis tool during a large attack, and like the other redirect-related columns it can only be changed once the row is enabled, set to redirect, with a redirect port specified. For example, an admin might set this to 1000 to cap redirected attack traffic at 1 Mbps, rather than leaving it unlimited at the default value of 0.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-DOS-PREVENT-MIB::dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectRateLimit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.59.1.3.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-DOS-PREVENT-MIB::dDoSPrevCtrlRedirectRateLimit.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.59.1.3.1.6.1 i <value>
