catvSignalDetect

Module: DKT-CATV-MIB

OID (symbolic): DKT-CATV-MIB::catvSignalDetect

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.27304.11.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: CATV Rx signal detect. 1 = signal, 0 = no signal

What is catvSignalDetect?

This read-only INTEGER reports whether the DKT device's CATV module is currently detecting an incoming RF signal on its receive path, with the source specifying that 1 means a signal is present and 0 means no signal. An administrator would poll this value to verify that the cable feed into the device is actually live, which helps quickly distinguish a signal-source problem from a downstream distribution or module fault. For example, if this object reads 0 while catvSwitch shows the module is turned on, that would indicate the incoming cable signal itself is missing or disconnected.
