dialCtlPeerCfgRetryDelay
Module: DIAL-CONTROL-MIB
OID (symbolic): DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::dialCtlPeerCfgRetryDelay
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.21.1.2.1.1.16
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-create
Description:
The time in seconds between call retries if a peer cannot be reached. A value of zero means that call retries may be done without any delay.
What is dialCtlPeerCfgRetryDelay?
This read-write number specifies the delay in seconds between consecutive call retry attempts to avoid hammering an unreachable peer, or zero for immediate retries. Operators use this to reduce network congestion and give a failed peer time to recover before trying again. A backup carrier with known intermittent availability might be set to 30-second retry delays to avoid continuous dial floods.
