dialCtlPeerCfgFailureDelay
Module: DIAL-CONTROL-MIB
OID (symbolic): DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::dialCtlPeerCfgFailureDelay
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.21.1.2.1.1.17
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-create
Description:
The time in seconds after which call attempts are to be placed again after a peer has been noticed to be unreachable, i.e. after dialCtlPeerCfgCallRetries unsuccessful call attempts. A value of zero means that a peer will not be called again after dialCtlPeerCfgCallRetries unsuccessful call attempts.
What is dialCtlPeerCfgFailureDelay?
This read-write number sets how many seconds must elapse after all retries fail before the device attempts calling again, giving the peer time to recover, or zero to never retry after exhausting retries. Engineers use this to prevent continuous call storms to known-failed peers and reduce operational noise. After 3 failed call attempts, the device might wait 600 seconds (10 minutes) before trying the peer again to allow recovery time.
