Description: The way multicasts should forwarded on this interface; not forwarded, forwarded as data link multicasts, or forwarded as data link uni- casts. Data link multicasting is not meaning- ful on point to point and NBMA interfaces, and setting ospfMulticastForwarding to 0 effective- ly disables all multicast forwarding.
What is swL3ospfIfMulticastForwarding?
Selects how multicast traffic is forwarded on this OSPF interface: blocked(1) disables multicast forwarding entirely, multicast(2) forwards using the data-link multicast address, and unicast(3) forwards as individual unicasts to each neighbor, per its own DESCRIPTION; data-link multicasting is meaningless on point-to-point/NBMA interfaces. It defaults to blocked.
