swL2PortSecurityMode

Module: DGS3224-L2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DGS3224-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PortSecurityMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.101.3.2.7.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the mode of locking address. In deleteOnTimeout(3) mode - the locked addresses can be aged out after the aging timer expires. In this mode, when the locked address is aged out, the number of addresses that can be learned has to be increased by one. In deleteOnReset(4) mode - Locked addresses never age out unless the system restarts which will prevent port movement or intrusion.

What is swL2PortSecurityMode?

Sets how locked MAC addresses on a port are aged out: permanent(2) never expires until manually cleared, deleteOnTimeout(3) ages out via the aging timer (freeing a learning slot), or deleteOnReset(4) only clears on reboot. An admin picks deleteOnReset(4) so a locked device list survives normal aging but resets after a maintenance reboot.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DGS3224-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PortSecurityMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.101.3.2.7.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DGS3224-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PortSecurityMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.101.3.2.7.1.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> swL2PortSecurityMode.1
