swL3IpMcastStaticRouteRpfAddr
Module: DGS-3620-28SC-L3MGMT-MIB
OID (symbolic): DGS-3620-28SC-L3MGMT-MIB::swL3IpMcastStaticRouteRpfAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.118.2.3.2.6.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-create
Description: If the source IP address of the received IP multicast packet matches the Ipmrouteaddress, the Rpfaddress will be used to check whether the packet received is from a legal interface. If it is set to null, it means that if the source IP address in the received IP multicast packet matches the Ipmrouteaddress, the RPF check will fail.
What is swL3IpMcastStaticRouteRpfAddr?
The RPF (reverse-path-forwarding) address used to validate that multicast packets matching swL3IpMcastStaticRouteIpmrouteAddr arrived on a legitimate upstream interface; per the description, leaving it null makes the RPF check fail for that source. An admin configures this to steer multicast RPF checking away from the unicast path, e.g. when multicast sources reach the switch via a different upstream than their unicast routes would suggest.
