staticAutoLearning
Module: DGS-1248T-B1-MIB
OID (symbolic): DGS-1248T-B1-MIB::staticAutoLearning
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.10.76.6.21.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: PortList
Access: read-write
Description: The set of the device's member ports that belong to the Static MAC auto learning enable/disable. Each octet within the value of this object specifies a set of eight ports, with the first octet specifying ports 1 through 8, the second octet specifying ports 9 through 16, etc. Within each octet, the most significant bit represents the lowest numbered port, and the least significant bit represents the highest numbered port. Thus, each port is represented by a single bit within the value of this object. If that bit has a value of '1' then that port is in auto learning enable state; the port is not in auto learning state if its bit has a value of '0'.
What is staticAutoLearning?
This is a bitmap controlling, per port, whether static MAC auto-learning is enabled, with a '1' bit meaning that port is in auto-learning mode. An admin would disable auto-learning on a sensitive port so only manually configured MAC addresses are allowed to communicate through it.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.10.76.6.21.2 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DGS-1248T-B1-MIB::staticAutoLearning
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.10.76.6.21.2.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DGS-1248T-B1-MIB::staticAutoLearning.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.10.76.6.21.2.1 s <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> staticAutoLearning.1
