Module: DEVICE

OID (symbolic): DEVICE::deviceCpuLoad

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.27662.200.1.1.1.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Device CPU Load, in hundredths of a percent.

What is deviceCpuLoad?

This value reports the device's current CPU utilization, described in the source as being expressed in hundredths of a percent though its allowed range is 0 to 100. An admin monitors this value to catch a device under unusually heavy processing load, which can precede slow response times or missed events. For example, a reading holding steady near the top of its range would suggest the device's CPU is a bottleneck and worth investigating further.
