swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint

Module: DES3010F-L2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DES3010F-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.63.1.1.2.16.4.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The administrative point-to-point status of the LAN segment attached to this port. A value of forceTrue(0) indicates that this port should always be treated as if it is connected to a point-to-point link. A value of forceFalse(1) indicates that this port should be treated as having a shared media connection. A value of auto(2) indicates that this port is considered to have a point-to-point link if it is an Aggregator and all of its members are aggregatable, or if the MAC entity is configured for full duplex operation, either through auto-negotiation or by management means.

What is swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint?

Read-write setting for whether a port's link is administratively treated as point-to-point (a direct link to one other bridge) for RSTP's fast-transition logic: forceTrue(0), forceFalse(1) for a shared-media link, or auto(2) to let the switch infer it from duplex/aggregation state. Admins force forceTrue on a link known to be a direct full-duplex connection to speed up RSTP convergence, or forceFalse on a legacy shared-media hub segment.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.63.1.1.2.16.4.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DES3010F-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.63.1.1.2.16.4.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DES3010F-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.63.1.1.2.16.4.1.10.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> swL2StpPortAdminPointToPoint.1
