Description: This counter is incremented when a valid frame with a length or type field value equal to 0x8808 (Control Frame) is sent.
What is bpIfStatsOutThrottles?
This Counter64 increments whenever a valid frame with EtherType 0x8808 (a MAC Control Frame) is sent out a backplane hiGig port. Admins use it, together with the matching ingress bpIfStatsInThrottles, to see whether this fabric link is actively signaling flow control outward. A rising count suggests the local switch is asking a neighboring line card's fabric interface to slow down.
