Description: The total number of frames received that had a length (excluding framing bits, but including FCS octets) of between 64 and 1518 octets, inclusive, but had a bad CRC.
What is bpIfStatsInCRC?
This Counter64 counts frames between 64 and 1518 octets received on a backplane hiGig port that had a bad CRC. Admins treat sustained CRC errors as a strong indicator of a failing cable, connector, or transceiver on that specific internal fabric link. Because this is per stack-unit/port-pipe/port, it also pinpoints exactly which backplane hiGig link needs physical inspection.
