What is bpDropsInMTUExceeds?
This Counter64 tracks how many ingress packets a backplane hiGig port dropped because they exceeded the configured MTU. An admin monitoring this counter on a leaf-spine switch can catch oversized frames being forwarded across the fabric before they cause application-level fragmentation issues. A growing value points to a specific BP port pipe receiving frames larger than the fabric allows.
