The value of this object is maintained across power cycles and resets.
What is hripSlotCfgDisable?
This read-write value locks out (disables) or enables one of a slot's backplane token-ring ports, with separate settings for port 1 and port 2 on multi-port linecards like the MIPPY. An admin sets this to disabled to electrically lock a faulty or unused backplane port out of the ring, and the setting survives power cycles and resets so it stays in effect after a reboot. For example, setting this to disabled-1 takes that card's first backplane port out of the ring while leaving port 2 unaffected.
