What is chasPortName?
An administratively assigned, non-volatile name for a port, defaulted by the management agent based on chasPortType/chasPortSubtypeSelect (e.g. 'Thinwire Ethernet' or 'FDDI-A') and overridable by the admin. An admin might rename a port to something meaningful like 'Uplink-to-Core' for easier identification in management tools.
