The MIB-II ifIndex assigned to the physical datalink identified by decAtmFppnSlotNumber and decAtmFppnPortOfThatSlot; for an ATM port this is the ifIndex of the 'atm' interface layer itself, not the AAL5 entity or the physical SONET/DS3 sub-layer. Admins use this to correlate a cable connection on the chassis with the correct row in standard interface-statistics tables.
