What is basicPortClearStats?
A read-write control object for a single port: writing clearportstats(2) zeroes out that port's accumulated error and traffic counters in the monitor table, while other(1) is the idle value. Useful for resetting just one port's history after fixing a cable, without clearing stats for the whole hub.
