What is addPortEntry?

A conceptual row in the port address-tracking table, recording the last source MAC address seen on a port and how many times that address has changed. Admins walk this table to see which device (by MAC) is currently connected to each port, useful for locating a machine by its network jack.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.2.3.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DE1500-MIB::addPortEntry

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.2.3.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DE1500-MIB::addPortEntry.1
