TP_LTI
What is cyanAlarmTpLti?
This OID is a notification trigger sent when a TP_LTI (Transmission Path - Loss of Time Interval) alarm occurs on optical equipment. It alerts operators to loss of timing synchronization on the line, which can cascade failures across synchronized systems. An operator configures alerting rules around this notification to respond quickly to timing problems.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmTpLti snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.28533.5.20.30.88
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
