LTM

What is cyanAlarmLtm?

This OID represents a notification (alarm alert) about a Loss-of-Time-Mark condition, which indicates the device lost synchronization with a timing reference. It tells you that accurate timing or synchronization is now broken, affecting services that depend on precise timing. A network operator responds by investigating why the timing reference failed and re-synchronizing the device.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmLtm
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.28533.5.20.30.89

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:51018->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (76673354) 8 days, 20:58:53.54
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmLtm
