ENV_WRN

What is cyanAlarmEnvWrn?

This SNMP notification reports environmental warning conditions detected by Cyan optical transport equipment, such as temperature, humidity, or power supply issues. Unlike critical alarms, warnings indicate conditions that need monitoring but are not yet failures. Operations teams use these warnings to take preventive action before environmental conditions escalate to critical faults.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmEnvWrn
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.28533.5.20.30.303

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
