BAT_FAIL
What is cyanAlarmBatFail?
This is a notification (alert/trap) that is sent when the battery in a Cyan system has failed or is malfunctioning. The system detects loss of battery function and immediately reports this condition to network monitoring systems. Operators must act quickly on this alarm to replace the battery and restore backup power protection for the equipment.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmBatFail snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.28533.5.20.30.32
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:50953->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (414183689) 47 days, 22:30:36.89 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CYAN-MIB::cyanAlarmBatFail
