frpAtmNISapCLPBit

Module: CXFrameRelayATMIWF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXFrameRelayATMIWF-MIB::frpAtmNISapCLPBit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.3.52.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Determines which value of Cell Loss Priority (CLP) will pass to the ATM cell level if the mode2 of frpAtmNISapDEtoCLPMapping is selected. The object is not valid if the mode1 of frpAtmNISapDEtoCLPMappingmode is selected.

Options: zero (1): The CLP bit will be set to 0 at the ATM cell level.

one (2): The CLP bit will be set to 1 at the ATM cell level.

Default Value: zero

Configuration Changed: operative

What is frpAtmNISapCLPBit?

This object sets the fixed Cell Loss Priority (CLP) value, either zero or one, applied to every ATM cell when frpAtmNISapDEtoCLPMapping is configured to mode2; it has no effect if that object is set to mode1. An admin uses this to decide whether cells from this circuit are marked as high-priority (CLP=0, the default) or discard-eligible (CLP=1) network-wide when using the fixed-mapping mode. For example, setting this to one(2) alongside mode2 on frpAtmNISapDEtoCLPMapping marks all cells from this circuit as lower priority, making them the first candidates for discard during ATM network congestion.
