poeLastUpdateTime

Module: CUMULUS-POE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CUMULUS-POE-MIB::poeLastUpdateTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.40310.3.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeStamp

Access: read-only

Description: The system uptime timestamp when the objects in this MIB were last updated. The default for the update period is every 300 seconds or 5 minutes.

What is poeLastUpdateTime?

This is the switch's uptime timestamp marking when the PoE table values were last refreshed from the underlying power controller (poectl). Because the default refresh interval is 300 seconds, an admin can use this to judge how current the PoE readings are before troubleshooting a power issue. If the timestamp lags far behind the current uptime, it may mean the poectl polling process has stalled.
