Module: CTATX-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::strunkRemoteBridgeAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.25.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: The MAC address portion of the bridge ID of the remote bridge.
What is strunkRemoteBridgeAddr?
This holds the MAC address portion of the remote bridge's bridge ID, learned via the trunking protocol on this link. It lets an admin identify exactly which remote switch or bridge is on the other end of a trunked link. If a trunk link unexpectedly shows a different strunkRemoteBridgeAddr than before, an admin would suspect a cabling change moved the link to a different device.
