Description: (This MIB variable replaces sysTrapTime). The time, in centiseconds, which should expire between the sending of traps.

What is strapTime?

This sets, in centiseconds, the minimum time that must expire between the sending of traps. It acts as a throttle preventing a flood of trap messages from overwhelming the management station during repeated events. An admin seeing trap storms during a flapping link would increase strapTime to space out notifications.
