srepeaterExtendedStats

Module: CTATX-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::srepeaterExtendedStats

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.16.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When enabled(1), the rptrMonitorGroup, rptrMonitorPort, and rptrAddrTrack tables are available, and the CEIOM maintains frame-by-frame tallies for the repeater in order to support these tables. Bridging performance may be slightly degraded due to the extra processing required, although the effect will not ordinarily be noticeable. When disabled(2), the rptrMonitorGroup, rptrMonitorPort, and rptrAddrTrack tables are not available.

What is srepeaterExtendedStats?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER, when enabled(1), turns on the rptrMonitorGroup, rptrMonitorPort, and rptrAddrTrack tables and has the CEIOM maintain frame-by-frame tallies to support them, at a typically unnoticeable cost to bridging performance; disabled(2) turns these tables off. An admin enables this when they need detailed per-port and per-address repeater monitoring statistics for troubleshooting, accepting a small performance tradeoff. Enabling srepeaterExtendedStats would be done before a deep-dive investigation into which specific MAC addresses are generating traffic on a shared repeater segment.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTATX-MIB::srepeaterExtendedStats

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.16.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTATX-MIB::srepeaterExtendedStats.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.16.1.1.3.1 i <value>
