sprotoIpRoute

Module: CTATX-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::sprotoIpRoute

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.17.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies whether or not this port is to be used for IP routing.

What is sprotoIpRoute?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER specifies whether this port participates in IP routing. An admin enables this on ports meant to route IP traffic and disables it on ports meant to function purely as bridged interfaces. Disabling sprotoIpRoute on a port intended only for Layer 2 bridging prevents it from unexpectedly participating in IP routing decisions.
