Description: The datagram packet size which will be sent with the ECHO_REQUEST, in bytes. This variable cannot be set while spingOperation is on.

What is spingDataSize?

This sets the size, in bytes, of the datagram sent with each ping ECHO_REQUEST, and it cannot be changed while the ping is running. Larger packet sizes can reveal MTU or fragmentation issues that smaller default pings would miss. An admin testing for a suspected MTU mismatch on a WAN link would increase spingDataSize well beyond the default before starting the test.
