Type: Counter

Description: Number of packets not mirrored due to shortage of wrapper buffers (in mirroring frames to remote ATX).

What is smirrorNowrapperDroppedPkts?

This counter tracks packets not mirrored because the device ran out of wrapper buffers used for encapsulating frames sent to a remote ATX. It signals a resource exhaustion specific to remote mirroring's tunneling mechanism, distinct from congestion on the exit port. If remote mirroring frequently loses packets during high traffic, an admin would check smirrorNowrapperDroppedPkts to see if wrapper buffer shortage is the cause.
