Module: CTATX-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::sipxSapSocket
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.18.3.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The socket number to which service requests should be addressed.
What is sipxSapSocket?
This read-only INTEGER is the socket number to which requests for the advertised service should be addressed. An admin or diagnostic tool uses this to know exactly which IPX socket a client must target to reach a specific advertised service. A client application configured with the wrong socket number, differing from sipxSapSocket, would fail to reach the intended NetWare service even though the server is visible in SAP.
