sipxRouteHopCount

Module: CTATX-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::sipxRouteHopCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.18.2.1.4

Description: The secondary routing metric for this route, which is the number of routers that must be traversed to reach the destination.

What is sipxRouteHopCount?

This read-only INTEGER is the secondary IPX routing metric, counting the number of routers that must be traversed to reach the destination network. An admin uses this as a tiebreaker or secondary reference when comparing routes with similar tick counts. Seeing a high sipxRouteHopCount alongside a low tick count suggests a fast but circuitous path, perhaps over several high-speed hops, to that IPX destination.

Examples
