Description: The subnetwork address of the origin.
What is sipmRouteOrigin?
This read-only IpAddress is the subnetwork address of the origin for an IP multicast route entry. An admin reads this to identify which source subnetwork a given multicast routing table entry's forwarding information applies to. Looking up sipmRouteOrigin helps an admin confirm the device has learned a multicast route back toward a specific source network for reverse-path forwarding.
