What is ruleType?
This flag marks whether this filtering rule entry is currently valid or invalid, per its valid(1)/invalid(2) enumeration. Since it is writable, an admin can toggle a rule off without deleting its configured source/destination addresses and protocol settings. Setting ruleType to invalid(2) on a rule for a decommissioned server's IP would disable that filter while preserving its configuration for later reuse.
